From the Brown Bag Lunch Series: In-Class Technology Video

Taos Pueblo Hall: (all rooms)

1. Touch Panel

  • this controls the computer, projector, ect.
  • Instructions on how to operate will be in the classroom

2. Desktop Computer

  • to sign on use your NetID and password

3. DVD/VHS/Blu Ray

4. Projector

5. MediaSite

  • this allows you to record your live class to be reviewed by students later or to watch if they have missed class

6. Camera

  • it is placed at the back of the room to record your lectures and other visual materials if you choose

7. Interactive White Board (Pen, Icon Strip)

  • this allows you to interact with your projection, record still shots of your interactions, etc.

Career Tech: Room 101/102:

1. Flip Top Box

  • this controls the computer, projector, etc.
  • Instructions on how to operate will be in the classroom

2. Desktop Computer

  • to sign on use your NetID and password

3. DVD/VHS

4. Connector for Laptops

5. Projector

6. Interactive White Board (Remote, Stylus)

  • this allows you to interact with your projection, record still shots of your interactions, etc.

Room 103: same as above with the following additions:

2. Gateway Computer:

  • connected to State-wide Super Computers, for more information look to UNM’s Center for Advanced Research Computing

Art Building: 230 Mac Lab

1. Removable Touch Panel

  • Instructor unit can be wheeled to different positions in the room

  • please leave all settings as is

5. Extra monitors for better student instructions

Padre Martinez Hall: Room 106/107/112/113:

You may call or email Technical Services for the following items or for help in general. If you are requesting items please provide details (class time, place, etc.).

MediaSite Cart (2):

The same capabilities as in TSPH except that there will be only one camera position, therefore it will only record the Instructor and not the Board as well.

Document Camera (2):

A projector you can use to write (as you would on a whiteboard) to be shown in front of the room but then also recorded.

Mac Laptop Adapter:

When you are using a Macintosh Laptop you will need to request an adapter from Technical Services to be able to hook-up your laptop in the classrooms.
